Ingredients

  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed about 1 1/2 cups
  • 2/3 cup canned pumpkin
Dairy and Eggs
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 5 tbsp melted butter, cooled
Dry ingredients
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice, optional
Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips, divided 3/4 cup for batter, 1/4 cup for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a bread pan.
  2. Mash bananas, add egg, melted butter, vanilla, pumpkin, and sugar; mix until smooth.
  3. Whisk dry ingredients and pumpkin spice; combine with wet ingredients gently.
  4. Fold in 3/4 cup chocolate chips, pour batter into pan, and sprinkle remaining chips on top.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
