Super Moist Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed bananas about 1 1/2 cups
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips plus extra for topping
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or chocolate sauce optional for drizzling

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cream butter and sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Stir in mashed bananas and sour cream. Gradually add dry mixture, then fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour batter into pan, sprinkle with chocolate chips, and bake for 60-70 minutes.
  5. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, drizzle with melted butter or chocolate sauce before serving.
