- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Mix mashed bananas, sourdough starter, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
- Whisk together baking soda, salt, and flour; add dry to wet, stir gently.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using; pour into pan and smooth.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes; cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for best flavor and mash well.
