wet ingredients
  • 1 cup sourdough starter (active and bubbly)
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed bananas
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
dry ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: sourdough starter, bananas, sugars, butter, eggs, vanilla.
  3. Whisk dry ingredients: baking soda, salt, flour.
  4. Combine dry with wet, then fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour batter into pan, bake 50-60 mins, cool before serving.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for best flavor and mash well.
