Ingredients
Method
- Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, onion, egg, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well but do not overmix. Divide into 4 portions and shape into patties.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir and bring to a simmer.
- Mix cornstarch and water, then add to the skillet, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
- Return patties to the skillet, spooning gravy over each. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve Salisbury steaks with gravy, accompanied by mashed potatoes or a vegetable of choice.
Notes
For an extra-rich meal, serve with mashed potatoes to soak up the flavorful gravy.
