Ingredients
  

liquids
  • 1 cup water
oils
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup rice
vegetables
  • 1/2 cup diced vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers)
spices
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add olive oil and salt, then stir in rice and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. In the last 5 minutes, add diced vegetables and garlic powder.
  4. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm.

Notes

You can add a sweetener or nuts for extra flavor.
