Bananas
  • 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed until smooth for maximum moisture
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted because I prefer the richness over oil
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar just the right amount of sweet
  • 1 large egg at room temperature for better mixing
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for that warm, cozy flavor
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda to help with the rise
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt to balance the sweetness
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour sifted if you’re feeling fancy
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for a hint of spice
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips more chocolate equals more happiness

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
  2. Mash bananas and mix with melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Whisk dry ingredients separately, then fold into wet mixture.
  4. Gently fold in chocolate chips and pour batter into pan.
  5. Bake for 60-65 minutes; cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring.

Notes

Save some chocolate chips to sprinkle on top before baking for a bakery-style look.
