Ice Cream Cake Recipe

A delicious and easy-to-make ice cream cake perfect for celebrations. Layers of cake and ice cream create a cool, sweet treat.

Ingredients
  

Cake
  • 1 box chocolate or vanilla cake mix
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 quart chocolate ice cream
Toppings
  • to taste Whipped cream for topping
  • optional Chocolate syrup or sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Bake the cake as per package instructions in two pans and cool.
  2. Cut each cake into thin layers and assemble one layer in a springform pan.
  3. Spread vanilla ice cream over the first layer and freeze for 30 minutes.
  4. Add the second cake layer, top with chocolate ice cream, and freeze for another 30 minutes.
  5. Cover with whipped cream, add toppings if desired, and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For easier slicing, let the cake sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
