Ingredients
  

Bananas
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
Applesauce
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened applesauce
Sweetener
  • 0.25 cup honey or maple syrup
Flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
Leavening Agents
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
Salt & Spices
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Nuts or Chips (Optional)
  • 0.5 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix mashed bananas, applesauce, honey, and vanilla in a large bowl.
  3. Combine dry ingredients and add to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  4. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using, then pour batter into pan.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes; cool before slicing.

Notes

Using ripe bananas enhances sweetness naturally.
