Cookie Cake
  • 2 cups unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
Frosting & Decoration
  • 1 container white frosting
  • Chocolate sprinkles optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a half sheet pan.
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Spread cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Let the cookie cake cool completely in the pan.
  10. Frost the cookie cake with white frosting.
  11. Pipe white lines for yard lines and end zones.
  12. Add chocolate sprinkles around the edges (optional).
  13. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
