Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add vanilla and egg; mix well.
- Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Fold in chocolate chips, white chocolate, and peppermint if using.
- Drop dough onto baking sheets, bake 10-12 mins, cool, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
