Ingredients

  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, mashed the spottier, the sweeter!
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil or any neutral oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar for that lovely sweetness
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce extra moisture without eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract makes everything better
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour the base of our bread
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda to give it a lift
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt balances sweetness
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon adds warm spice

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your loaf pan.
  2. Mash bananas, then mix in oil, sugar, applesauce, and vanilla.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  4. Combine dry ingredients with wet mixture until just blended.
  5. Pour batter into pan, smooth top, and bake for 50-60 minutes. Cool before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
