Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Stir in raisins.
- Make a well in the center and pour in buttermilk.
- Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a richer flavor, try using brown sugar instead of granulated sugar.
