Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache or chocolate chips for filling

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla until fluffy. Mix dry ingredients separately, then combine.
  3. Form dough into balls, place on sheet, and make an indentation in each.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, then cool slightly.
  5. Fill indentations with ganache or chips and cool completely before serving.

Notes

Ensure not to overbake for a soft center.
