Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Filling
  • 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread or jam
  • to taste optional powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Mix in dry ingredients until just combined, then form dough balls and place on sheet.
  4. Indent centers, fill with spread, and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  5. Cool, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve.

Notes

Ensure not to overbake for a fudgy center.
