Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless flank steak sliced into 0.5 cm thick slices
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil or vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 head broccoli cut into bite-size florets
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger minced

Method

  1. Marinate the beef slices in soy sauce, peanut oil, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
  2. Steam the broccoli florets in a skillet until tender, about 1 minute. Set aside.
  3. Cook the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until lightly charred, about 1-2 minutes per side.
  4. Add garlic and ginger to the skillet and stir-fry until fragrant.
  5. Return the broccoli to the skillet, pour in the sauce, and stir-fry until the sauce thickens, about 1 minute.

Notes

For the best texture, use fresh broccoli and ensure the beef is sliced against the grain.
