- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line pans.
- Mix dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, baking agents, salt). Whisk wet ingredients (eggs, milk, oil, vanilla, hot coffee). Fold wet into dry until smooth.
- Divide batter and bake for 30–35 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Make buttercream: beat butter until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar, caramel, and salt until fluffy.
- Assemble the cake: frost layers, stack, and coat sides and top with buttercream. Decorate with caramel drizzle, chocolate curls, or raspberries.

Ensure cakes are completely cooled before frosting to prevent melting.
