Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas (mashed) ≈ 1¼ cups
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, beaten room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
Optional mix-ins
  • to taste chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix mashed bananas and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until blended. Combine dry ingredients separately and fold into wet mixture. Add optional nuts or chips.
  4. Pour batter into pan and smooth top. Bake for 55–65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool for 5–10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle with a little cinnamon on top before baking.
