Bananas
  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
Butter
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
Salt
  • Pinch pinch of salt
Sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
Egg
  • 1 large beaten egg
Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
Chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin.
  2. Mix mashed bananas with melted butter, then add baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Fold in flour until just combined, then stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Divide batter among muffin cups and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  5. Cool briefly before removing from tin.

Use ripe bananas for best flavor and sweetness.
