Ingredients
  

Bananas
  • 1 cup ripe bananas (about 2 medium bananas), mashed
Butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
Sugars
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Eggs
  • 1 large large egg
Vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Flour
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Mix in bananas, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Combine dry ingredients and gradually mix into wet. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  4. Drop dough onto baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  5. Cool cookies on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let sit for a few minutes.
