Method
- Whisk discard, milk, sugar, and salt.
- Add flour and knead until smooth.
- Roll into a 9x12 inch rectangle.
- Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll into a log and seal.
- Cut into 12 slices and place in a greased pan.
- Cover and let rise for 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
- Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and milk, beat until smooth.
- Frost warm rolls and serve.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use brown butter in the filling.
